What we believe

Built around three simple ideas.

Detect real threats using real feeds. Explain them in plain language. Keep the detection on your phone, not in our cloud.

Detection grounded in real threat data.

Sentinel uses the same threat intelligence trusted by national CERTs and security researchers. Every detection traces back to a verifiable source — so you can always see what was flagged and why.

  • 228K+ phishing domains from OpenPhish, PhishTank, CERT.PL
  • Malware domains from URLhaus & CERT.PL
  • Pegasus / NSO C2 infrastructure and 6K+ stalkerware indicators
  • abuse.ch SSL blacklist for live C2 infrastructure

Help that meets you where you are.

Something happened and you're not sure what to do? Tell Sentinel in plain English — "I clicked a suspicious link", "I shared my password", "my data was in a breach" — and it walks you through the steps that matter, without the jargon.

  • Guided flows for the most common situations
  • Plain-language steps, not a checklist of acronyms
  • Ask anything — 20 AI chats per day for anything more specific

One grade. Actionable steps.

Your privacy score is a running grade of how protected your phone actually is — measured across DNS protection, browser protection, threat intelligence, and spyware monitoring. Every point has a reason, and every reason has a fix.

  • Live grade that moves when you make changes
  • Four clear categories — see exactly where you're covered
  • Always actionable — every point has a fix you can apply in under a minute

Your phone stays your phone.

Detection happens on-device. Sentinel doesn't ship your installed apps, your URLs, or your IP addresses to our servers. The only time anything leaves your phone is when you explicitly ask the in-app assistant a question — and even then, the conversation is ephemeral.

  • On-device matching against downloaded blocklists
  • No app inventory sync — we don't see what you've installed
  • EU-hosted infrastructure for the small set of server-side features
  • No ads, no data resale — your privacy is non-negotiable

Native, fast, and quiet.

Sentinel runs natively on iOS and Android, with detection logic optimised for each platform. That's why it stays fast enough to run continuously without slowing your phone.

iOS, done right

SwiftUI frontend, a Network Extension tunnel for DNS filtering, and a Safari content blocker for tracker-level protection at the browser.

Swift · Network Extension

Android, no compromises

Kotlin/Compose UI with a Rust-powered detection core via JNI. Same feature set as iOS — not a lesser port.

Kotlin · Rust · JNI

Feeds, updated continuously

Blocklists from OpenPhish, PhishTank, URLhaus, CERT.PL and abuse.ch refresh on a schedule. Nothing stale, nothing guessed.

Hourly updates

Every category you'd expect — and a few you wouldn't.

Phishing links

Block deceptive sites the moment you tap a link — SMS, email, or any app.

OpenPhish · PhishTank · CERT.PL

Spyware & stalkerware

Pegasus C2 infrastructure plus 6,000+ stalkerware indicators targeting everyday users.

Pegasus · Stalkerware IOCs

Risky apps

Analyse installed apps for over-reaching permissions and known-bad signatures.

On-device analysis

Trackers & ad profiling

Block ad networks and behavioural trackers at the browser level — via Safari content blocker, no middleman VPN.

EasyPrivacy

Network-level threats

Network Guardian filters DNS traffic so bad domains never resolve — across every app, not just browsers.

VPN-based DNS · abuse.ch

Vulnerabilities & breaches

iOS and Android CVEs relevant to your device, plus email breach monitoring when you want it.

NVD · HIBP (planned)

Six promises we keep.

Sentinel is built around six commitments. They show up in every part of the app — and they won't change as we grow.

Plain-English explanations

Every detection comes with a clear, jargon-free explanation of what it found and what it means for you.

On-device detection

Threat matching runs locally on your phone — fast, private, and works without a constant internet connection.

Protection across apps

Wherever you tap a link — SMS, WhatsApp, email, browser — Sentinel checks it before you land on the page.

Built for one person

Designed for personal use from day one. No team admin, no policy console, nothing that doesn't help you.

Ad-free, no data resale

You're the user, not the product. We don't show ads, and we don't sell your data — full stop.

Install and go

No accounts, no sign-up flow, no setup wizard. Open the app and you're protected.

Questions worth answering.

Is Sentinel actually free during beta?
Yes — no card required, no trial timer. Once we open public access we'll introduce paid tiers, and beta users will get permanent discounted pricing as a thank-you.
What data does Sentinel collect about me?
The detection engine runs on your phone. We don't sync your installed app list, your browsing history, or your IP addresses to our servers. The only data that leaves your device is the content of questions you explicitly ask the in-app assistant — and those conversations aren't retained once the chat ends.
Does Sentinel work alongside iOS's built-in security?
Yes — Sentinel is designed to complement iOS, not replace it. iOS handles app sandboxing brilliantly, and Sentinel adds layers on top: blocking phishing links from texts and other apps, tracking known device vulnerabilities, and explaining anything that gets flagged in plain English.
Why does Sentinel need a VPN?
Network Guardian uses a local on-device VPN tunnel — nothing leaves your phone — to filter DNS lookups across every app. This is the same technique used by privacy-focused tools like NextDNS. It does not route your traffic through our servers.
Who's building this?
Sentinel is built by Ahmed Qubia, a cybersecurity builder with fifteen years in enterprise software. Read more about him →
When will it be publicly available?
Soon. We're deliberately keeping the beta small so we can hand-hold early users and iterate fast on the threat-explanation UX. Join the waitlist and we'll send a TestFlight or Play Store invite when the next cohort opens.
